AP boat tragedy: Village raises funds for family to visit site
The family members are constantly calling those who reached Rajahmundry for any scrap of information.
Warangal: Kadipikonda village came together as one to raise funds for family members of those missing in Sunday’s AP boat tragedy to go to the spot. On Monday, a group of villagers left for Kachuluru where the boat sank.
Five persons in a 14-member group from the village were safe, and two persons were confirmed dead: Baske Avinash, 22, and Baske Rajender, 55. The others are missing. The neighbours gathered in large numbers to comfort the families.
Among those missing is B Rajendra Prasad. His daughter Sri Prashamsa, a Class VIII student, said her family had been praying his well-being. Her school friends visited her house to show their support.

Mayor Gunda Prakash Rao visited Kadipikonda and consoled the family members, and said the government would support them. BJP Warangal Urban president Rao Padma Reddy als met the families.
