Heavy rains in Bengaluru: Rs 1,650 crore damage and still counting!

He claimed that 12,000 of the 24,000 potholes in the city have been filled, while the rest would be filled by the end of this week.

Bengaluru: The torrential rains have cost the city a whopping Rs 1,650 crore. But that is only till September-end and the losses are certain to go up as rains have continued to wreak havoc almost every day of October too. Reeling out the figures on Monday, Bengaluru Development Minister K.J. George said that the state government will take a delegation, which will include Union ministers from the state, to the Centre seeking funds for disaster relief. 

He claimed that 12,000 of the 24,000 potholes in the city have been filled, while the rest would be filled by the end of this week.
