BJP meets Guv Tamilisai Soundararajan on return from Delhi

The memorandum pointed out that the government had no made no effort to end the strike which was going on for 12 days.

Hyderabad: A BJP delegation led by TS party president Dr K. Laxman met Governor, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, and handed over a memorandum asking her intervene in the TSRTC employees strike. Dr Soundararajan had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president and home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday.

The memorandum pointed out that the government had no made no effort to end the strike which was going on for 12 days.

The staff has not been paid salaries for September, they said. The BJP delegation included party MLC N. Ram-chander Rao, spokesperson N.V. Subhash, the party’s TS Mahila Morcha president Akula Vijaya and state vice-president S. Malla Reddy.

It alleged that the government planned to hand over prime RTC property spread over 1,500 acres  and worth `80,000 crore, to private individuals. RTC properties in Warangal, Armoor and Karimnagar had been given on lease to TRS politicians, BJP leaders stated.

A large number of BJP workers staged a dharna at the Uppal RTC depot. Former MLA N.V.S.S. Prabhakar said the RTC staff which had participated in the statehood agitation were again on the roads to fight for their rights.
