Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh High Court, hearing the anticipatory bail petition of former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road (IRR) scam case, posted further hearing to October 18.

In another case, the High Court posted further hearing on the Amaravati assigned lands case to November 1.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court adjourned the hearing of the Amaravati assigned land case to November 1 after the CID requested the court to consider additional audio and video evidence that it had collected before delivering the verdict.

The High Court, which was slated to deliver its verdict on Monday, asked the respondents to file counters.

The CID produced audio files as additional evidence in the case, and said that it could produce videos in support of its charge. Counsels appearing for former minister P. Narayana objected to the submission of new evidence, contending that when the verdict was to be delivered, it was not appropriate to file fresh petitions. They objected to the CID producing as evidence something that was already produced in another case.

In another case, the High Court adjourned the hearing on an anticipatory bail petition moved by Naidu in the alleged Amaravati Inner Ring Road scam to October 18.

On October 13, the Andhra Pradesh government had told the Supreme Court that it would not arrest Naidu in the Fibernet case until October 18. It said it would seek adjournment of the matter listed before the trial court on October 16, as the Supreme Court had deferred the hearing on Naidu’s plea for anticipatory bail to October 17, along with his plea for quashing the FIR in the Rs 371-crore Skill Development Corporation scam.

Further, Naidu’s lawyers filed a petition in the ACB court seeking release of health bulletin on Naidu’s health and the court will hear the petition on Tuesday.
