BBMP Commissioner Manjunath Prasad said, “As per the high court order, we have issued the public notice, requesting illegal commercial units to close down voluntarily. Our next step will be issuing individual notices to these illegal units.”

He said, “Our health inspectors have already started collecting data on the illegal units. We will also take the help of help of Bescom, BWSSB, commercial taxes department and others to ensure that not a single commercial unit operating in residential area is missed out. Once we have the data, we will issue individual notices to all such illegal units and seek their explanation. Illegal unit operators may approach the court.
