Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state on January 27 will immensely impact the Tamil Nadu politics and it will be a turning point for the BJP here, party president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has said.
The party would demonstrate that it is emerging stronger in Tamil Nadu and prove the detractors wrong, she said. “You will soon know how strong our party has become in Tamil Nadu. Some people are asking where is BJP? whether lotus (BJP symbol) will bloom? All these critics will get an answer on Jan. 27 morning,” Dr Tamilisai said referring to her party’s meeting to be addressed by Modi in Madurai.
She alleged that some political parties were carrying out a malicious campaign against the BJP aiming to tarnish the party’s image. They are carrying out a propaganda that it is a weak party. “But they will soon realise how strong we are,’ she added.
The leader contended that her BJP is the only party in the country that is not corrupt and not a single finger could be raised against the Modi-government.
Earlier, she accorded a ‘send off’ to the party’s SC wing leaders at the Central Railway station here. They travelled by the Andaman Express to attend the all India BJP SC wing conference in Nagpur.
