N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurates Trimukha Siva Linga
The ancient and famous Kotappakonda temple will get a ropeway.
GUNTUR: The ancient and famous Kotappakonda temple will get a ropeway. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid foundation stone for construction of the ropeway to hilltop Kotappakonda on Saturday. He performed special rituals at the famous Trikoteswara Swamy temple and later inaugurated a park and a food court.
He promised of developing Kotappakonda into an eco-tourism centre with greenery in 1,000 acres. Mr Naidu opened the eco-tourism park which was renovated atop the hill and walked there for sometime. He also inaugurated a Trimukha (three-faced) Siva Lingam on the hill and performed special rituals in the temple. Later, Mr Naidu inaugurated the newly-constructed R&B road from Petluri-varipalem to Kotappa-konda, laid foundation stone for a lift irrigation scheme at Achammapalem and performed Jala Siri ki Haarathi rituals.
He laid foundation stones for the construction of Girls Gurukul School and a high-level bridge at Kakani near Narasaraopeta. Mr Naidu praised efforts of AP Legislative Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao towards development of Kotappakonda. Earlier, Mr Sivaprasada Rao, ministers P. Manikyala Rao, Siddha Raghava Rao, P. Pulla Rao and N. Ananda Babu, MLAs G.V. Aanjaneyulu and Y. Srinivasa Rao, Guntur ZP chairperson Sk Johny Moon, AP Women Commission chairperson N. Raja Kumari and others welcomed Mr Naidu at the helipad and priests of temple accorded traditional Poorna Kubham reception.
