Karnataka: Congress meet on seat-sharing plan today
Dr G Parameshwar added that the outcome of this meeting will also be discussed with the coalition partner.
Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr G. Parameshwar on Sunday said the Congress party has convened a meeting of its leaders on Monday to discuss issues pertaining to Lok Sabha seat sharing with the coalition partner, Janata Dal (S).
Speaking to reporters here, Dr Parameshwar said, "At first Congress leaders need to know which are the seats the party can win and our faultlines in each Lok Sabha constituency. We have convened a party leaders' meeting to discuss these issues with our leaders first."
The DCM added that the outcome of this meeting will also be discussed with the coalition partner. Other meetings will also take place on Monday including the KPCC's campaign committee meeting, the KPCC co-ordination committee meeting and lastly, the KPCC's election committee meeting where important decisions are likely to be taken. "The main agenda is a discussion on seat sharing for the Lok Sabha polls," he said.
