Vijayawada: People express dismay over BJP's statement
Citizens feel that it is not possible for BJP to replicate Tripura in Andhra.
VIJAYAWADA: People in Andhra Pradesh have been expressing their dismay over BJP’s statement that AP would be their next Tripura. While elite have been reacting sharply with statistics and figures, the semi-skilled and unskilled working classhave been registering their protests openly. A Mathematics lecturer G. Venkatesh from Vijayawada has questioned the BJP’s high handed behaviour and added that people in AP would not give room to the BJP to perform such irrational politics. “The BJP has miserably failed in executing the assurances given during the time of bifurcation,” Venkatesh said and also criticised that the people wouldn’t accept them as the true messengers of Hindutva.
Another citizen N. Veera Raghavaiah, a carpenter by profession, has accused the BJP of leading the state towards an economic crisis. “BJP is assuming that they can do anything with Andhraites. Gone are those days,” he warned and added that now public would come on to the streets to register their protest, in case the BJP tries to replicate Tripura.
Veera Raghavaiah, who is a Post Graduate in Commerce, has been continuing his family profession, following the high rate of unemployment in the state. But, he accused the BJP for the same. Speaking on the same lines, one B. Sukhesh, an engineering student from Guntur, stated that he is very much disappointed with the BJP’s attitude towards AP. “To make AP a Tripura, BJP has to fight with the secular forces which are strong here in AP,” Mohammed Haneef, a private employee of Vijayawada city, said.
A retired physician Dr V. Someshwara Rao stated that Amit Shah-Narendra Modi led BJP has lost its honour by exposing its unfairness through recent acts. He added that the BJP’s plan to replicate Tripura’s victory in AP cannot be translated into reality.
