Woman stages stir at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada
She demanded the University to provide employment to her as per the court's order.
KAKINADA: A former outsourcing employee, Vijayakumari, of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) staged silence stir in front of the Registrar’s office on Saturday. She demanded the University to provide employment to her as per the court’s order.
According her, she worked as a outsourcing employee in the University previously. But, in the year 2012, when Dr E.V. Prasad was the registrar, he was terminated from services along with 18 employees as per the report, given by the official concerned. Some of them approached the court which gave a direction to the University to consider their plea and they can be given priority during recruitments will be held in the University. Vijayakumari said that later, the University has give posts to two employees. She said that she had applied for four months ago to provide job, but the officials did not give her job.
