Hyderabad: Vocational course student can now apply for Deecet
The court has directed to accept online applications of candidates who have passed intermediate Vocational Courses to pursue the Deecet.
Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has directed the convener of Deecet-19 and Commissioner of school education to accept online applications of candidates who have passed intermediate Vocational Courses to pursue the Diploma in Elementary Education.
However, the court has set a condition that the result of the examination is subject to its decision on the issue and clarified that the vocational course candidates who were permitted to sit in the common entrance examination provisionally cannot claim any equity in their favor.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy was dealing a petition by the Telangana Vocational Students and Un-employees Welfare Association and some other candidates who had completed intermediate Vocational courses seeking to direct the convener of the CET-19 to accept online applications and challenging the attitude of authorities in denying eligibility to pass-outs of intermediate Vocational courses, with or without passing Bridge courses, to appear for the CET exam.
