Telangana: K Chandrasekhar Rao to buy first house at Manair riverfront

In the meeting, Mr Rao opined that purchasing houses by CM and finance minister would enhance the significance for the project.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will purchase the first house and finance minister Etela Rajender, the second one, once the plush residential buildings are constructed as part of development of 90-km long Manair River Front project in Karimnagar.

Mr Rao who is keen to develop Manair River Front project on par with that of Sabaramati riverfront and a tourism hub, held a day-long meeting with officials at Pragathi Bhavan on Wednesday, to devise plans for the fast execution of the project, for the second consecutive day.

In the meeting, Mr Rao opined that purchasing houses by CM and finance minister would enhance the significance for the project and attract the attention of all.

“The government will take this project prestigiously. We have sanctioned Rs 506 crore in the Budget this year. We have released Rs 25 crore today to take up preliminary works. We will beautify riverfront up to Lingapur in the first phase,” Mr Rao said.
