WARANGAL: Police is making all arrangements in view of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit on Sunday to Jayashankar Bhupalpally district to inspect the Kannepalli pump house and Medigadda barrage which are in the final stages of completion.
On Friday, superintendent of police R. Bhaaskaran visited the construction sites and discussed the security arrangements with his personnel.
Mr Bhaaskaran has asked the officials to make sure that no untoward incident takes place during the CM’s tour. The area is also being combed by the bomb squad.
Sources said the extra precaution is being taken keeping in mind the recent increase in Maoist activities in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the officials to make sure that the project is completed and made functional by the end of July so that it can lift 3 TMC-ft water during the monsoon. Officials at Kannepalli had scheduled a wet run on May 8, but it was cancelled due to technical issues. The wet run is expected to be held during the CM’s visit on Sunday.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday will first visit the Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy temple after which he will go to the Kannepalli pump house and then to the Medigadda barrage.
