Nellore: The proposed visit of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, according to revenue officials. As per the schedule the Chief Minister was to inaugurate a Shrimp Feed Plant at Dagadarthi, a private school and hospital in Nellore and a fibre check dam in Jaladanki during his visit to Nellore on Saturday.

Telugu Desam leaders who made elaborate arrangement to mobilise the people for the public meeting of the Chief Minister were upset over the cancellation. According to information noted philanthropist and former YSR Congress leader Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, who also made colourful arrangements at VPR Convention Centre to join the TD in the presence of the Chief Minister, and his followers are also disappointed. Incidentally, it is second time Mr Reddy is facing this situation. He made all the arrangements to join the party during CM's proposed visit on April 27 earlier but that was also cancelled at the last minute.
