Visakhapatnam: A day after the death of the IPS officer K. Sasi Kumar, CID officials investigating the case said that failure on the professional front led him to take the extreme step.

A five-member team of the CID led by DSP Y.V. Naidu visited the camp office-cum-residence of Sasi Kumar, who shot himself with his service revolver on Thursday, and began investigating.

Mr Naidu told DC that the suicide note reflects that Sasi Kumar failed as a police officer and was not fit to continue in the police department. The suicide note didn't mention any personal or family problems, he said.
