Thiruvananthapuram: SFI forms ad hoc panel
As there were complaints of low representation of women, eight girls have also been included in the committee.
Thiruvananthapuram: The SFI has formed a 25-member ad hoc committee in the University College in place of the unit committee which was disbanded following violence among its members.
Akhil Chandran, who was stabbed by former unit president Shivaranjith with the help of unit secretary Nazeem, has been included in the new committee. Akhil's friend Umair Khan, who gave a statement against Shivaranjith and Nazeem, was also included in the new committee. As there were complaints of low representation of women, eight girls have also been included in the committee.
University Union chairman and a second year MA student of the college A.R. Riyas has been nominated the convener of the committee. He is a state committee member of the SFI.
Third year degree student Veena M.B. will be the joint convener. She is a district committee member of the SFI.
The other members are: Shilpa, Jobin, Chandu, Anju,Niranjan,Jinu,Krishnapriya, Arun, , Ajay, Vishnu, Rakesh, Jijo, Abhijith, Arya, Ananthu Shaji, Dilna, Amal, Nithin, Mitha Madhu and Roshna.
