Mumbai: A Chetak helicopter carrying out routine practice made a 'precautionary landing' due to a technical problem at the Advanced Landing Ground near Uran, in Navi Mumbai on Thursday.
"There is no damage to the aircraft, which took off from Mumbai, and the personnel on board were safe", a Defence spokesperson said.
"A support helicopter has been sent to provide assistance. The helicopter will fly out of the location shortly", he said.
The Chetak chopper is understood to have carried out the safe 'precautionary landing' after a suspected fuel leak. A chopper with spares and a team to rectify the defect has been sent.
