Madras High Court rejects actor Vijay's fan Ram Kumar's bail

The Union government has informed the Madras high court that in view of the interpretation Life sentence means entire life of a person by the Supreme Court, the two accused cannot seek relief of early release.

Chennai: The Madras high court has declined to grant anticipatory bail to Ram Kumar, an ardent fan of actor Vijay, who apprehended arrest in connection with a case relating to allegedly abusing journalist Dhanya Rajendran.

Justice P.N.Prakash dismissed as withdrawn, the anticipatory bail petition filed by Ram Kumar of Tiruvannamalai.

Following a complaint from Dhanya to Commissioner of Police, Chennai, the central crime branch police registered cases against Ram Kumar and another person for offences under various provisions of IPC.  

Dhanya in her twitter, had criticized a recently released Hindi movie featuring Sharukh Khan, comparing it with Tamil film Sura, starring Vijay. Enraged over this, the Vijay fans allegedly abused Dhanya over the social media.

Even after Dhanya had deleted her remarks in her twitter, as the abusive remarks continued, she lodged a complaint with police.
