Hyderabad: Hospital, doctor booked over techie's death

Hyderabad: A woman techie, who underwent laparoscopic surgery, died at a private hospital in Himayat Nagar, an hour after the operation, following which the Narayanguda police booked a case against the doctor and the hospital management on Friday.
According to the police, G. Sravani, a software engineer and wife of a businessman, was admitted in Sri Swetha Multi Speciality Daycare Surgical Centre in Himayat Nagar for a laparoscopic surgery.
“The operation started at 6 pm on Thursday and took two hours to finish. Around 9 pm, she suffered pain and was pronounced dead. The family members argued with the hospital management and Dr. Nageshwari, owner of the centre, alleging negligence,” said ACP, G. Biksham Reddy
Sravani got married to G. Akhil, a businessman, about five years ago and was seeking medical help for gynaecology related problems.
