K Chandrashekhar Rao announces Rs 25 crore for rain-hit Kerala
The CM has also instructed the officials concerned to supply water purifiers worth Rs 2.5 crore to Kerala.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday announced Rs 25 crore immediate financial assistance to Kerala which is badly affected by heavy rain. He directed chief secretary S.K. Joshi to ensure that the financial aid reaches Kerala government immediately. The Chief Minister has also instructed the officials concerned to supply water purifiers worth Rs 2.5 crore to Kerala. He said it was the responsibility of the people of Telangana to help the residents of Kerala who are suffering due to floods.
Mr Rao also appealed to industrialists, IT firms and other big business houses to help Kerala. He said of the donations are sent to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, he would make arrangements to sent them to Kerala. The Chief Minister expressed his sympathy for the people of Kerala who are suffering because of the natural calamity which claimed several lives and destroyed property worth crores of rupees.
