Tamil Nadu CM, Governor, leaders pay homage to AB Vajpayee at his home in Delhi
BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and MDMK chief Vaiko too paid their last respects to Vajpayee.
Chennai: Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, leader of the Opposition and DMK working president M. K. Stalin and leaders of various parties on Friday paid homage to the mortal remains of former Prime Minister A. B. Vajpayee at his residence in New Delhi.
Immediately after hearing about his demise, Mr. Palaniswami and Mr. Panneerselvam air dashed to the national capital and paid their last respects to his body. They were accompanied by Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M. Thambidurai, Ministers and other leaders.Mr. Stalin too reached New Delhi to pay his last respects.
DMK Rajya Sabha members, Kanimozhi and Trichy N. Siva and former Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran also paid their respects by placing a wreath on the body of Vajpayee.
