India's 2nd largest marathon to be held on August 26 and 27

The country's second-largest marathon, NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2023, will be held here on August 27. The curtain raiser 5K run will be held a day earlier from 7am at Hitex.

The full marathon (42 km) will begin at 4.30 am, half marathon (21K) from 5.30 am (from People Plaza) and the 10 K run at 6.30 am from Hitex on August 27.

Total prize money for the 12th edition of the run is '27 lakh. The run will have over 21,000 registered participants, including many outstation entries.

The finishers medal was unveiled here on Thursday by the DGP Anjani Kumar.  

The marathon route will traverse through Hussain Sagar lake, Raj Bhavan road, KBR park, Jubilee Hills road no. 45, Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge, bio-diversity junction, UoH and will culminate at Gachibowli Stadium.

As it is a green marathon, 250 volunteers will be actively involved in keeping the area green.
