Rajanna Siricilla: Nerella PHC bags NQAS certificate
Karimnagar: The Neralla Primary Health Centre (PHC) of Thangallapalli mandal received the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certificate here in Rajanna Sircilla on Thursday.
The certificate, which will be valid for three years, will be granted to PHCs that meet the standards specified by the National Health System Report Centre (NHSRC). The Central government would provide '9 lakh for the hospital's development over three years, with '3 lakh allocated each year.
Speaking on the occasion, district collector Anurag Jayanti praised the hospital staff and stated that thanks to the special initiative taken by IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, all basic facilities, as well as advanced medical equipment, are provided in the government-run hospital, which is kept neat and clean.
This is the district's sixth PHC to receive the NQAS certificate in a short period of time. Previously, PHCs in Konaraopet, Thangallapalli, Boinapalli, Kodurupaka, and P.S. Nagar received NQAS accreditation, he noted.
