Cauvery water row: Politicians and anti-socials stir trouble?
September 12 was the buildup of this nexus between political parties and some regional fringe elements.
Bengaluru: Is the alleged unholy alliance between political parties and some fringe elements responsible for destroying the social and cosmopolitan fabric of Bengaluru?
Were the September 12 riots and violence allegedly "orchestrated" to make space for "protection money" and "roll call" by fringe groups, which will now soon begin to call the shots even as law enforcement agencies are forced into looking the other way?
The alleged dangerous nexus between political parties and some regional groups is threatening to destroy the cosmopolitan fabric of Bengaluru, warn Intelligence agencies even as the police become a helpless pawn in the hands of politicians and goons.
“September 12 was the buildup of this nexus between political parties and some regional fringe elements, which has been going on for some time now.”
“Today most of these groups have the backing of one or the other political parties, which had initially tied up with them for their survival and getting even with their rival parties. The riots and arson, which were reportedly planned and orchestrated by these fringe elements, which were backed by political groups, have created space for protection money and roll call. In the name of regional interests these groups will begin to mark their territories and extort money from individuals and business houses. Soon this will lead to a bloody turf war," warned an official source.
