Hyderabad: Civil supplies commissioner C.V. Anand on Sunday said technology had helped check irregularities and corruption in the public distribution system. He told the regional conference on consumer forums that with technology and computerisation, the department could save Rs 375 crore for the government in the city.

“We have made civil supplies more accessible to the common man. For this we have recently introduced T-Ration mobile app, which allows people to view live the transactions at ration shops in order to ensure transparency,” he said.
