Hyderabad: Bodies of 3 city victims recovered
The bodies have been identified as those of P. Bharani Kumar and K. Vishal Babu of Hayathnagar, and Eran Sai Kumar of Madhapur.
HYDERABAD: Bodies of three persons from Hyderabad, who went missing after the boat in which they were travelling on the Godavari River capsized near Kachleru village in Devipatnam of AP, were recovered by rescue teams on Tuesday.
The bodies have been identified as those of P. Bharani Kumar and K. Vishal Babu of Hayathnagar, and Eran Sai Kumar of Madhapur.
Bharani Kumar, 25, was employed with PhonePe, an e-commerce payment and digital wallet company in the city, while Vishal Babu, 24, was working for 24/7 at Uppal. Sai Kumar was a gym trainer at Flagship Fitness in Madhapur.
Whereabouts of Tarun, Hemanth and Ravinder, who were working on outsourcing basis with the Telangana State Police Housing Corporation and were also on the ill-fated boar, are still unknown.
Meanwhile, the body of Ankem Siva Jyothi, wife of retired government employee A. Janakirama Rao, reached Hyderabad on Tuesday morning. While Jyothi was among the passengers on the boat who drowned on Sunday after the boat capsized, Janakirama Rao survived the mishap. Three of the couple’s relatives A. Pavan, Pavan’s wife Bhavani, and their son Susheel, are still missing.
Sources said teams of National Disaster Response Force and Indian Navy divers recovered the bodies of Bharani Kumar, Vishal and Sai Kumar on Tuesday. Their bodies have been sent for post mortem to Rajamahendravaram Government Hospital, post which they are expected to be transported to the city on Wednesday.
