Kochi signs climate and energy covenant
The covenant was signed during the first India - European Union Forum being organised in New Delhi on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Kochi: Kochi, along with six other Indian cities, has signed the Commitment for the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy. The covenant was signed during the first India - European Union Forum being organised in New Delhi on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Ahmadabad, Bhavnagar, Gandhi Nagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Vadodara are the other cities signed the GCOM commitment in the presence of Hardeep Singh Puri, minister for housing and urban affairs.
Since the launch of GCOM-South Asia in May 2018, 15 Indian cities have committed to climate action. Earlier eight cities -- Gangtok, Gwalior, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Shimla, Surat and Rajkot signed the commitment.
