Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police that is probing the death of AP former Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao began verifying his call data records. The police is waiting for the postmortem report.
A police official said that they found that Kodela had made a phone call at around 8.30 am on Monday, his last. On Tuesday, reports circulated on social media that his phone was missing. Police refuted the reports.
ACP Banjara Hills, K. Srinivas Rao, investigating officer, said: “They are all rumours spread on social media. We did not inform anyone of any such thing.”
It is also learned that Kodela’s daughter Dr P. Vijayalakshmi has alleged that the new AP government has harassed her father due to which he was depressed.
