Hyderabad: Corporate hospitals must accept health cards given to state governent employees and they must be provided treatment, health minister Dr Laxma Reddy insisted at a meeting with the Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust on Monday.
Dr Laxma Reddy met Aarogyasri chief executive Dr M. Chandrashekar and Dr K. Padma, chief executive officer for Employee Health Insurance Scheme and said the hospitals accredited with the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Health care Providers must adopt the government scheme.
Dr Laxma Reddy said that if a separate fund had to be created for the purpose, it must be looked into so that government employees get the benefit. Presently, the government reimburses hospitals for treatment, which is a cumbersome process and officials want a solution to this problem.
