Nirmal: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), which was planning to hold Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting on Wakf land will now hold the meeting on a private adjacent to the Wakf land at Mahegoan village on the outskirt of Bhainsa town.
It is learnt that the local Wakf board was not ready to give permission for the meeting on Wakf land.
The TPCC realised that using Wakf land may attract the violation of the Election Code and would require lengthy process to get approval.
The meeting will now be held at a private land and the helipad will also be arranged in the same land to avoid breaking the Election Code.
