Akbaruddin Owaisi makes small money

Hyderabad: MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi reported a marginal increase in his wealth since 2014, according to his election papers. 

The MIM contestant from Chandrayangutta reported assets worth Rs 11.3 crore which was offset by about Rs 5.98 crore liabilities.

Mr Owaisi, 48, a resident of Banjara Hills, has 14 criminal cases. Akbar, who discontinued his MBBS from Kakatiya University, faces cases for promoting enmity, disobedience to order, intending to outrage religious feelings and criminal conspiracy. He as not been convicted.

His wife Sabina Farzana has investments and shares worth Rs 3.53 crore and properties worth Rs 3.29 crore. Ms Farzana has liabilities worth Rs 5.41 crore. Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi paid Rs 1,89 crore in taxes.
