EVKS Elangovan flays TNCC chief for spiking MK Stalin's demand
Describing Thirunavukkarasar's views as 'personal and not that of the party, Elangovan charged the former with trying 'to protect someone'.
CHENNAI: Former TNCC leader E.V.K.S. Elangovan on Saturday flayed his successor, S. Thirunavukkarasar for his views opposing DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin's demand for a white paper on treatment for former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. Describing Thirunavukkarasar's views as 'personal and not that of the party, Elangovan charged the former with trying 'to protect someone'. Strongly supporting the demand of Stalin and PMK founder S. Ramadoss, he demanded a white paper into the treatment of Jayalalithaa.
No one was allowed to see her and there were conflicting reports about her condition in the hospital during the 75 days of treatment. When former Chief Ministers MGR and Anna was admitted to the hospital, the then health ministers were out information about the treatment. But, during Jayalalithaa's hospitalisation, the health minister or secretary did not give any statement. The government had the responsibility to inform the truth, he said.
