12 dead as fire breaks out in Mumbai shop, many feared trapped

Mumbai: Twelve people were killed and four others were critically injured in a fire that broke out at a shop on Khairani road in Mumbai in the wee hours of Monday.

Four fire tankers and fire engines were rushed to the spot to douse the flame.

The injured people were rushed to a hospital for treatment while some people are still feared to be trapped inside the shop.

The search and rescue operation is in progress.
