Two killed in separate road accidents in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Two people died in separate accidents in the city on Saturday night in Kamakshipalya and Whitefield police limits .
In the first incident, a 26-year-old techie died on spot when a container lorry ran over her on Sumanahalli flyover in Kamakshipalya traffic police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Nayana, a resident of Peenya. She was a software engineer at a private company.
According to the police, the accident happened when Nayana was returning from her friends house on a two-wheeler. The container hit her vehicle from behind and she came under the rear wheels of the lorry. The driver, Chandrashekar, immediately surrendered before the police. The Kamakshipalya traffic police arrested and produced him before the court.
In the second incident a 26-year-old man died when a cement mixer lorry hit his two-wheeler from behind near BSNL office in Whitefield traffic police limits on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Rajashekar, a resident of Segehalli and an employee of a private company. According to the police the accident happened around 8:30 pm, when Rajashekar was returning from work. The passerby rushed him to the nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. The Whitefield traffic police have registered a case and arrested the driver.
