Hyderabad: In a road mishap two government officials who were on their way to Amaravati, AP, to attend the duties died after their vehicle overturned in Kodad Suryapet district on Monday.

The police have identified the victims as Harikrishna, 54, section officer GAD department and Kolishetty Bhaskar Rao, PS to Special CS. Vijayalakshmi, section officer elections, Boreddy Raghu Veeranjaneyulu, Papaiah and Syed Khaleel, a driver are undergoing treatment.

According to the police, the employees of the revenue department had come to Hyderabad and  were returing to Amaravati at around 5.30 am from Hyderabad. G. Ravi sub-inspector of police, Kodad said, “We got a 100 call and immediately reached the spot. One person died on the spot and one person died on the way to the hospital. Vijayalakshmi is said to be in serious condition.”
