Cyber attacks: Mallu Cyber Soldiers hack Pak website
The idea was to allow the Facebook users to have some fun by allowing them to post memes and trolls.
Kochi: Kerala hackers added a new dimension to the cyber war by allowing persons with little IT knowledge to deface a website by providing log-in IDs and passwords.
However, when they hacked a Pakistani government website and revealed passwords in public domain, some persons from Kerala opted to post pro-Pakistan slogans on the site. Now the hackers are planning to reveal the identity of Malayalis who allegedly posted pro-Pak messages.
The hackers from Pakistan and Kerala are engaged in a cyber war for the past few days. Mallu Cyber Soldiers hacked the website of External Publicity Wing, an arm of Pakistan's ministry of information, broadcasting & national heritage, on Tuesday and as usual revealed the password and IDs on its Facebook page. But to their utter dismay, some posted Pakistan Ki Jai.
"In return to the recent cyber attacks against Indian educational websites Mallu Cyber Soldiers leaked the credentials of a Pak government website yesterday for public access. But we noticed that some persons posted messages supporting Pakistan on the website instead of Indian messages. It is really a shameful thing that from inside our country itself there are such kind of pak supporters (sic)," the Mallu Cyber Soldiers posted on its Facebook page.
The idea was to allow the Facebook users to have some fun by allowing them to post memes and trolls. Users posted funny posts with the famous characters in Malayalam movies.
The move by a section of Keralites had irked the hackers as well as social media users. Many questioned them, and one asked, "How can one support Pakistan by living in India?"
The cyber war started when Pakistanis targeted the websites of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport and others.
