Hyderabad: The Central government has asked TS and AP governments to send utilisation certificates for the funds released under AMRUT scheme in the current financial year.

In a letter to the state governments Rajesh Kumar, under secretary (AMRUT), said that the Central government has already released the first installment of funds against state annual action plan (SAAP) 2015-16 and 2016-17 under AMRUT for all states.

Further, the Central government has also released the first installment of funds against SAAP III (2017-20).

He said that timely implementation of projects is crucial for the success of the mission and to avoid time and cost over runs.  He said under the mission, the state governments are required to furnish the Utilisation Certificates (UCs) for the amount released to them, within six months of the funds released. He said this was also insisted upon in the sanction orders issued to state governments.

However, many states are yet to submit the UCs against funds released to them and he has directed state governments to submit UCs, SAAP wise for the funds released.
