Services of NTR recalled on his death anniversary

The 22nd death anniversary of NTR was observed at TD office in Guntur.

Gutur: Minister for energy and Telugu Desam AP state president K. Kala Venkata Rao said the party was serving the public following the principle of party founder and former chief minister late N.T. Rama Rao who treated the society as a temple and the people as gods.

The 22nd death anniversary of NTR was observed at  TD office in Guntur on Thursday during which  several leaders paid floral tributes to the portrait of the late leader.

Reminding about the launch of the party by NTR and getting voted to power in a very less time,  he said that the party founder strived for getting recognition to  Andhra people and Telugu language. “It was NTR who launched the '2 a kg rice scheme and won the hearts of the people.

He said that TD is like a university formed by NTR and CM N. Chandrababu Naidu is running it putting in all his efforts. Minister for women and child welfare Paritala Sunitha said Mr Naidu is implementing several welfare schemes for the development of the oppressed and the poor.

“NTR wanted to provide food, clothes and shelter to all the poor and Mr Naidu is fulfilling the  same through housing,  Anna canteen and other welfare schemes.”
TD Guntur district president and Vinukonda MLA G.V. Anjaneyulu said the TD was conducting blood donation camps in the memory of NTR. Minister P. Pulla Rao, former minister and MLC Dokka Manikyavara-prasada Rao were present.
