Chennai: Petrol bomb hurled at ice cream parlour
According to police, the petrol bomb was hurled at the shop at Gundumedu in Perungalathur owned by ex.DMK councillor Issac.
Chennai: An unidentified person hurled a bomb at an Ice cream parlour in Perungalathur on Friday afternoon. However, no one was injured, police said.
According to police, the petrol bomb was hurled at the shop at Gundumedu in Perungalathur owned by ex.DMK councillor Issac. Only two employees of the shop were present and there were no customers at the time of the attack. The petrol bomb hit the floor of the shop, police said.
Sources said, at around 2 pm, a man in his early 30s hurled two bottles of petrol bomb inside the shop However, the employees could not identify the perpetrator of the crime.
The Perungalathur police have registered a case and combed through the CCTV footage recovered from the shop. Further investigations are on.
