Karnataka govt set to give postings to '11 KPSC candidates
Sources in the state government said that a decision in this regard is expected in the next couple of days.
Bengaluru: The state government is all set to give appointment orders and postings to the 362 candidates selected in the 2011 Gazetted Probationers examination. Sources in the state government said that a decision in this regard is expected in the next couple of days.
"The government has decided to implement the KSAT direction fully. Though the CID has furnished a detailed report on the allegations of corruption in the candidate selection, it is related only to a few candidates and middlemen. Majority of the candidates who were selected in this batch are innocent. Keeping this in mind, the government has decided to reconsider its August 2014 decision. This means all the candidates will get postings soon," said an officer.
The government wanted to minimise attacks from the opposition as it is a sensitive issue, they said. “Former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy had openly opposed the cancellation appointments for this batch. He joined the protesters at the Freedom Park. Now, a few BJP leaders have also supported the state government move,” they said.
