AP gives nod to fill up 1,000 teaching posts in varsities

The Cabinet welcomed the Supreme Court verdict on the higher education council.

Hyderabad: AP Cabinet on Friday gave its green signal to fill up the 1,000 teaching posts in the state’s universities. The Cabinet also decided to cancel allotment of more than 1,000 acres of bauxite land in Visakhapatnam district to the Jindal group.

The Cabinet directed officials to ensure that there was no drinking water problem in towns and rural areas. It said officials should speed up the arrangements for the forthcoming Krishna pushkaralu.

Regarding YSRC MLA R.K. Roja’s suspension issue, the Assembly would take a decision. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu asked all the MLAs to speak in the Assembly on this issue on Monday. The Cabinet welcomed the Supreme Court verdict on the higher education council.
