Rajmohan Unnithan vows to capture Kasargod
He told reporters that the major topics of discussions will be the CPM’s political violence and intolerance.
Kasaragod: UDF candidate Rajmohan Unnithan has landed in Kasargod constituency with a vow to capture the seat from the LDF and end the politics of violence. “The money for my election deposit was given by the mothers of Kallyot where two Youth Congress workers Kripesh and Sharath Lal were hacked to death a month ago,” he said. Earlier, as he disembarked from the Chennai-Mangaluru Mail at Kasargod railway station on Monday noon, he was given a rousing reception by UDF workers.
After visiting the DCC office and holding discussions with senior party leaders, Unnithan went to Kallyot in Periya to receive the blessings of the women.
“I am starting my campaign from this land of Congress martyrs declaring that political violence should be erased from our politics,” Unnithan said. He visited the houses of Kripesh and Sharath Lal and offered floral tributes at the spot where both the victims were laid to rest.
He told reporters that the major topics of discussions will be the CPM’s political violence and intolerance. “The constituency is being represented by LDF for decades and no development has taken place here. Kasargod still remains a backward district,” he said.
