Chennai reports second case of coronavirus
The patient hails from Delhi; kept under isolation
New Delhi: Chennai has reported its second positive case of the Covid-19 novel coronavirus.
The patient, who hails from Delhi, continues to remain in isolation and is stable, Tamil Nadu health minister C Vijayabaskar confirmed on Wednesday.
Tamil Nadu health secretary Beela Rajesh on Monday had informed that the first patient who tested positive for coronavirus in Chennai continues to remain in isolation and is stable.
Meanwhile, the novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 169 on Thursday after 18 fresh cases were reported from various parts of the country, according to the Union Health Ministry.
The cases include 25 foreign nationals — 17 from Italy, 3 from the Philippines, two from the UK, one each from Canada, Indonesia and Singapore.
