Actors bat for Gopi in Thrissur

Thrissur: “Our constituency would be really fortunate to have Suresh Gopi as its representative in the Lok Sabha,” actor Biju Menon has said.

Mr Biju, who is a resident and a voter of Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency said Suresh Gopi was one of the best philanthropists he had come across in the film industry.

Biju was speaking at an event named ‘Suresh Gopikkoppam' at Lulu International Convention Center at Puzhakkal here which was organised by the well-wishers of the actor as part of poll campaign.

Actors Priya Varrier of ‘Our Adaar Love' fame, Santosh and Nanda Kishore were among those who took part.

Producer G. Suresh Kumar who spoke at the meeting said that if Suresh Gopi won in Thrissur, it would be a big loss for Thiruvananthapuram where the actor had done remarkable work as a Rajya Sabha MP.

Suresh Gopi's wife Radhika, son Gokul and daughters Bhagya and Bhavni campaigned for him on Thursday.

His brothers Sunil Gopi, Sanil Gopi and Subash Gopi were also active in the poll work in Thrissur. Radhika visited Thrikkur Karunya Convent and a tile factory at Chittissery. The actor campaigned in colonies in Guruvayur and Manalur constituencies.
