Temple for K Chandrasekhar Rao if farmers made happy: Jaggareddy
Mr Reddy said that minorities have supported the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections.
Hyderabad: Congress MLA Turpu Jaya Prakash Reddy, popularly known as Jaggareddy, on Thursday said that he would construct a temple for Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao if he implements his decision to provide remunerative prices to the farmers by his government.
Mr Reddy welcomed the statement by Mr Rao two days ago that the state government was preparing plans to provide remunerative prices to the farmers for their produce. He said if Mr Rao managed to implement this decision for one year, he would construct a temple for him at Sangareddy.
Mr Reddy also announced that he would construct the temples for UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi as gratitude for granting separate statehood to Telangana.
He expressed confidence that in Nalgonda, Bhongir, Malkajgiri, Khammam and Chevella Lok Sabha constituencies, the Congress would win. He said it would not be a surprise if the Congress won the Pedda-palli and Zaheerabad Lok Sabha constituencies too.
Mr Reddy said that minorities have supported the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections. He asked whether there was any department in the TRS government where there was no corruption and if there was any politician who had not indulged in corruption.
