Congress slams Pragya Singh Thakur for Nathuram Godse remark
The BJP would not get even 10 Lok Sabha seats in southern India, Mr Reddy.
Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has demanded that the Election Commission cancel BJP leader Pragya Singh Thakur’s candidature from Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency for her remark on Nathuram Godse.
TPCC treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy on Saturday asked the BJP when its leader Anil Saumitra was suspended from the party over his remarks for calling Mahatma Gandhi the father of the nation of Pakistan, why Ms Pragya Singh was not suspended for her remarks on Nathuram Gadse. He said that Congress leaders Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Mr Reddy said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, instead of explaining the development made by him in the past five years, provoked communalism in his election campaign. He said the BJP would not get even 10 Lok Sabha seats in southern India.
