Hyderabad: Girl gangraped by four persons

Hyderabad: A 16-year-old minor girl was gangraped several times allegedly by four persons at Jagdevpur in Siddipet district.
The incident took place on Wednesday night, but the police is yet to arrest the culprits. On Saturday, several members of Dalit organisations met the district collector and complained to him about the laxity of the police.
A police officer said that one of the accused had befriended the girl, introducing himself as Venkat. Later, he promised to marry her. After a month of contacts, the accused went to her house in Rayavaram village at night. He took her to Kuncherukal’s graveyard at Gajwel, where he along with three of his friends raped her.
Another police officer said on the condition of anonymity, “On Wednesday arou-nd 11 pm, they again went to her residence and asked her to come out with them. When she refused, they threatened her with dire consequences. Following which she went along with them and they took her to Gopalpur T-Road on the outskirts of Thim-mapur village and raped her again.”
“While they were about to leave her at her residence, the victim’s relatives found them and tried to stop them. However, they escaped with the girl and went to Kuncher-ukal’s graveyard at Gajweland. There they again raped her, took away her ear studs and left he at Pragnapur bus stop around 4 am on Thursday. Around 7 am, she boarded a bus to her village and and narrated the ordeal to her family,” the police officer said.
She later filed a complaint with the police. Reportedly, the cops have identified two of the suspects as brothers Shivarathri Venkat and Shivaratri Anjaneyulu. The cops have formed special teams to hunt for the culprits.
