When contacted, KTU Vice-Chancellor Dr Rajasree M.S. told DC on Saturday that the names of the college appeared as they failed to submit the affiliation fee within the prescribed date and later their names were withdrawn after they remitted the fee.  "Students currently studying in these colleges will not face problems," said Dr Padmakumar. He also said that a total of 145 engineering colleges are taking part in the admission process this year.

Dr Padmakumar said that the fresh list of colleges will appear on KTU website on Monday after the same is given to the Commissionerof Entrance Examination.
