Collector inspects Haritha Haram in Karimnagar district
District collector asked workers to dig holes a few metres away from the highway and ensure the stipulated distance between the saplings
Karimnagar district collector G. Ravi ordered that Seventh Phase of Haritha Haram tree plantation drive must be implemented perfectly from village to town level as per the decided plan.
He was speaking while on a visit of Dharmapuri constituency to inspect the saplings planted on either side of National Highway 65 under the Employment Guarantee Scheme during this phase of Haritha Haram. He asked workers to dig holes a few metres away from the highway and ensure the stipulated distance between the saplings being planted.
Later, the collector inspected Palle Prakruthi Vanam in Chinnapur village of Buggaram mandal. He expressed happiness over different flowering plants and saplings growing in the village. He also inspected Haritha Haram works during his visit of Rajarampally, Gollapally and Velgatoor mandals.
District Rural Development Agency project director Vinod Kumar, officials of Dharmapuri, Buggaram and Gollapally mandals, apart from panchayat secretaries and MPDOs were present during the collector’s inspection programme.
