Cows die at SPCA grounds in Kakinada

Sources said the cattle died of starvation as they did not have grass due to heavy rains.

Kakinada: More than 20 cows and cattle died in Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) grounds in the last one week. The incident came to light on Tuesday. 

Sources said the cattle died of starvation as they did not have grass due to heavy rains.

However, SPCA joint secretary Gopal R.Surabathula said 10 cattle animals died due to the rains. The cattle were brought to SPCA with injuries and were not given proper treatment.
